do they actually want a copy of the parchment? Because that's all i have, i didn't get any other smaller cert.

Sorry if this is a stupid Q, it's been years since i did the whole job application process.

I have produced a photocopy of the parchment for one place. I produced a notarised photocopy of the parchment for another place.

They might want a transcript - transcripts didnt used to be given with the parchment as standard but they are now. I dont know when that changed. I recently requested the transcript of my original degree just to have a copy.

Going by your title "photocopy" - not the originals.

Although they may want to see the originals sometime during the interview process for verification.

Oh i knew it was photocopy and not the actual parchment, i just wondered if they wanted a document with the breakdown of everything. I wish job applications would be more specific.

Thats called a transcript - they would specify that if it was what they meant.

For my last two roles they accepted a picture of the parchment (taken from my phone)... Maybe ask if that's acceptable to them.

My last one just wanted official transcripts. One before was transcripts and photo of the parchment. Completely varies from place to place.

I understand employers asking for transcripts. There's a world of difference between a 2.1 that was actually 61% and only got over the threshold for the grade because of good marks in the broader learning subjects, and a 2.1 that's 68% where all the core subjects are over 65%. When there's only 20% between failing some courses and getting a 1.1/distinction (pass mark 50% on some courses), the ten percent bands are quite uninformative.
