Starting issue 2008 Volvo S40 1.8

Starting issue from time to time car wont start lights radio etc come on car wont turn over only clicking on key turn. However attach jump leads will start first turn of key. Issue from time to time with start doesn't start properly fluttering mode then might cut out unless you press on accelerator then kicks into life.
