Forgot Dembele was still suspended. Chance for Wanyama to shine. Goodison is notoriously difficult, so a draw is a good result.

Lloris please... Don't care what people will say, that was poor goalkeeping..

Anyone beginning to wonder if Leicester weren't the only flash in the pan last year,

Looking at that sub bench , would not put the fear of god in anyone

    Where is wimmer

Surly njie deserves a place on the bench

Plenty of possession, limited to one shot on target. Neither fullback has delivered a worthy cross.

Kane hasn't seen the ball. Janssen is the perfect foil.

Everton look anything but threatening, bar set pieces.

    Tackle by Dier.

    Well done Worm!

There needs to be a few choice words from the gaffer

I'd say its safe to say rose or walker won't be on big SAMs full back list

    Everton have started brightly.

    Fantastic save.

Much improved second half. Janssen will adapt to the premier league with ease. He'll be starting in no time.

I thought the players were too slow to start. There seemed to be an air of over-confidence.

We played Everton at a very good time but couldn't put them away.

On the bright side, one point more than this time last season.

What we would not have given last April to have been able to say we are a point ahead of Leicester

TBH I am a bit disappointed with that result' if we are realistic about winning leagues then we need to take 3 points at places like Goodson who are missing there 2 best players BTW

A fair result,Everton bossed the first half we had most of the second, roll on the next game.

In fairness Everton with a new manager were always going to be tough to beat...

... luckily for us they had no recognised striker on the pitch.

Glad we got them early in the season, they will get better as the season goes on.

I don't know if it's because I love Spurs so much and can only see the good points but I thought they both played well....rose did some great dis possessions.....I've always liked them both and am happy there in the team

One thing I noticed about Janssen in pre-season and I saw it again yesterday, his first touch is brilliant. It's probably one of the best attributes for a lone striker because the ball sticks to him, he can then bring other players into the game. He setup Alli yesterday, who should have done better.

Actually thinking about it his touch is very Berbatov-esque.

Some of those nerds *cough* over in the fantasy football forum are talking about Kane 's performance....
....not a single shot registered on goal and only 2 touches inside the opposition penalty box in the entire game.

Not a vintage performance by any means but I'm not concerned... yet.

Janssen will take the pressure off Kane. We've Palace next, perfect time to play two up top.

It took Kane a few games last season to kick into gear. He'll be in the mix for the golden boot.

He has played a lot of games in the last 2 years without a break this summer. The lads must be wrecked.

Kane after Everton "I'm probably still not 100 percent. I had one preseason game and today. We are training hard and I am sure it will not be long before we are fully match fit."
