Im not within 2km of the exchange nor does the blue line go out as far as our area,

We're about 4km from the exchange

Wondering when the exchange goes live is it any benefit to the area Im in, not looking for huge increase maybe 2mb to 4mb

Speaking from personal experience, so not entirely reliable. Once my local exchange, to which I am directly connected, was fibre-enabled, my connection became very unstable and prone to outage. My best stable speed is 2Mb/s, whereas I used to get 3Mb/s in the past. I am about 4km from the exchange.

    Your mileage may vary.
