Opinions appreciated on whether the 7" Tab 2 available next week in Lidl for €99 is good value? I have a specific use in mind for it that requires a sharp, bright screen and from what I've read it ticks the resolution box at least.

No IMO, it has a crappy low resolution screen and a crap chipset

I have one of these at home and the kids use it for Netflix and games. We've even brought it out tethered to my phone for playing Pokemon Go and it works grand. It's not amazing, we have other tablets that are better than it but those tablets also cost more. For what it does, I'm happy with it.

I'm pretty sure I picked this up for the equivalent of about 50 euro last November on business in the middle east....nice little Tablet for that price but for the 99 you're talking, assuming it's the same one, maybe not so good value....all depends on what else is out there which is available locally...

At the 100 euro price point, look for something with 1280 x 800 resolution...2gb ram unlikely so sent compromise on the screen

Low res, low RAM, low storage and now outdated version of Android. Save your money OP :)
