Hey guys, I hope you can help, I just bought a replacement for my haweui Vodafone router after I broke it.
I was advised in currys that the router I need is a phone line connection as Vodafone uses a phone line as apposed to cable but I cannot get it to connect.
I have Vodafone fibre and I'm second guessing that the box i bought is suitable! As shown above its a Netgear AC750, anyone know if this should work?
    Thanks

Have you looked on Vodafone.ie for instructions on using your own modem?

Could be wrong but I believe if you are on fibre you need a VDSL router not ADSL

What is the model of the old router that is broken?

Yea I looked and their instructions are very straight forward, still can't get it running though, my biggest problem is getting the router to recognise the dsl cable is plugged in!

I have vf fibre and my understanding is that only a few modem/routers work. And yours is not one of them and currys shoud have known that, VF use vectoring and the best option is to get VF to send you a replacement and then put it in bridge mode.

Some routers I believe also can be dual ASDL and VDSL (then some are only for one or the other)

If the port on the wall was upgraded when fiber was installed the router will have to deal with VDSL signal coming in. I think ADSL can only handle up to 25 meg thus to get the higher speeds you need VDSL

OP: Whats the model number of the original router?

This thread has the list of modem routers working correctly with VDSL, only a handful
