    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anybody is interested in forming a group to go inter railing over Christmas? It looks unreal, and all the cities would be full of Christmas lights!

just be aware that just like in Ireland, the best times for lights or christmas markets are up to christmas and come christmas itsself a lot of the christmassy feeling dissapears very quickly.
Presuming "christmas" means the period between christmas and new year, you need to research which places are touristy enough to consider the lights/markets a attraction for tourists rather than a pre christmas tradition.
The one positive is that new year is celebrated way more on the continent than in Ireland so being there for that would be good craic. Normally (from what I've seen) its a case of getting a few bottles of prosecco in the supermarket and going onto the streets to celebrate with everyone else.

Thanks for your help! I'm considering now, instead of Christmas, saving until the summer and going for nearly a month!
