Does anyone know if there's a product I can use to clear lime from the water tanks in my attic, that will leave the water safe to use?

    Calgon/kettle descaler/vinegar?!

    Whats the exact problem?
    whats the concern?
How is it manifesting itself as an issue, heath or otherwise?

Lime removal is best done by removing the lime on the way in

    Well, it looks gross.
The water in one of the tanks is practically stagnant, so the build up is extreme.
It hasn't caused any issue that I'm aware of.

The water should be filling one tank and the water outlet pipes should be on the other tank. This makes the water flow from one tank to the other . It keeps the water reasonably fresh

Unfortunately, that's not something I'll be able sort myself.
As its not causing me a problem at the moment, I'll leave it be until I have a plumber around.

I was hoping there'd be a simple product available to clear the lime!
