    Just ordered one of these for a friend from WOS. Looks like a very nice piece of kit for running Kodi.

    Anyone have one?

    I have a wetek play myself but thinking of selling it and getting a Core instead..

    Got one at Christmas. I would expect more performance for the cost given the price of the low end android box. It can get a little slow sometimes and it also freezes nearly once a day if I've left it on not using it then start watching Netflix for an hour or two. Think it's over heating. Needs a hard reset to get it going again.
    Netflix app also had judder but I resolved that but using the Android TV version of the app which works way better(can get from week forums). A lot of other boxes aren't certified for Netflix HD but this one is, was one of the main reasons I bought it.

    I really need to reset the whole thing and do a fresh install a that may resolve some of my issues.
    I've a couple 1TB hard drives but only one works with this for some reason.

    Haven't used a lot of Kodi on it. I'm an amateur at that and couldn't find good quality streams so I don't really bother with it but it did work fine for me most of the time.

    That's a bit surprising as the core seems to be getting good reviews online.

    I find the wetek play very good for kodi, I have it booting straight to kodi in openelec. I did change it to android a while back but found it ran smoother in openelec. Problem with openelec is you are stuck with kodi and cannot get other apps like Netflix, YouTube etc, not that I am aware of anyway unless you use a repository in kodi or the likes.

    It's the only android box I've used so I've nothing to compare it to, I would say it's better than the cheaper ones but I thought it would be a bit more powerful. Mine really lags when switching between apps. Nvidia one would be the best but it's fairly dea last time I checked.

    Like I say, hopefully reflashing it will resolve the issues.
