How to use limited attic space better?

I wonder how I could utiliize my attic better for storage. The main problem is that the water tank is right in the centre of the attic, and because of the low joists, you cannot easily walk around it to the other side.

So as you come up into the attic, the only space you can easily access is the area to the left of the attic door.

Without moving the tank, is there any way to make more storage available.

    Thanks
    PJ

Looks like you're utilising the space fairly good. Without doing some major structural work there's not too much more you could do.

You could get the tank moved to free up the middle section and it's not normally a huge job for a plumber to do it.

You could fit shelves between the pre-fab trusses.
