In assignment results are you entitled to know the name of the tutor who corrected it

Quick question, hoping someone can advise on here....A friend has just had results of an assignment (mind you, it took over 7 months to get feedback), and they are very disappointed with the result. The student's name and the tutor's name (who corrected it) are missing from the results sheet. Despite contacting the college, they have not been told who corrected the assignment nor indeed is there any proof that it belongs to the student at all. Is there an onus on the college (for transparency even) to supply the name of the tutor who corrected the assignment.

When dealing with such issues, you are entitled to what the institution has said it will provide you. I refer you to my previous posts on the policies and procedures of the institution.

Having said that, it does sound unusual that you do not have a name of a person whom you can discuss feedback with.

Ah thanks Tom. It's just another issue along a tortuous journey of Further Education. Seems strange for students to be getting feedback on a PPT presentation (which the examiner didn't attend, another tutor was there), and an essay where some students had 1 day and a half to prepare, and another cohort has 8 and a half days, due to timetabling)... As per your previous advice, we start at the bottom and work our way up, but can't contact the tutor regarding results, as the student doesn't know who marked the paper. However, there has been contact with an investigative journalist with a high profile who is watching all of the issues very carefully too, watch this space! Thanks again.
