I have a mf 398 with 8200 hrs on clock bought in 02 with 4000 hrs then.
    Since then she has had
    Injector pump done up
    Alternator replacement
    Water pump
    1 set tyres
    2 sets batteries
1 exhaust box and stainless pipe
    Auxiliary hyd pump

Not to bad for her 14 years here.

What newer tractors around the 110 HP with 40K box are bullet proof?

Me and bro have 110-90s serious work done compared to many lads nearby with 3-4 tractors. Used to make our own silage also IMO absolute bullet proof!

    what budget have you?

On average your doing 300 hours a year but I don't think the 398 is a continuous clock like more recent tractors . So say 400hours a year.

Looks like someone took out the rear tire in that 2nd photo, that ain't much use haha.

But anyways 05 landini here with over 9k hrs, does all the loader work, bought it with 2100hrs on it and genuinely the only 2 problems with it since was a new clutch about 6khrs, and it needs a new shuttle cable every year. The shuttle cable does make it a pig of a yoke when in and out of pits, hence why I change the cable every year, but it's our 2nd landini and I'll happily get another one when this one is utterly run into the ground!
