Refunding Customers Credit

    Can customers get a refund of any un-used credit built up on their account by them if closing their account in the future.

    Hi danjo-xx,

    Thanks for your message.

    Should there be credit when closing an Electric Ireland account, this credit would be applied against the final bill.

    If there is any remaining credit on the account, once the final bill has been cleared, then this credit should be returned to the customer in the form of a cheque.
