Stop offs from Dublin -> Holyhead -> Bradford

Myself and the missus will be travelling with a 1, 3 and 6 year old this Saturday to Bradford to stay with relatives.

Any tips on nice places to stop and stretch our legs, grab a bite to eat, go for a walk or visit a playground etc.

I saw Chester Oaks mentioned in another thread. Would it be suitable for small kids on a Saturday afternoon with places to sit in the restaurants etc.?
