What's with all the dead animals on the road today?
    I counted
    one almost fully formed fox,
    one hedgehog,
a massive dead seagull/pigeon on Francis St,
    a small seagull/pigeon
    a long dead cat.

    What road?

When they built the Galway-Athlone, motorway, there was absolute roadkill carnage on it for the first 6 months or so. Many wild animals were used to moving around the route without incident but it all changed, changed utterly, a terrible beauty was born (if you call piles of badgers, foxes, hares beautiful).

Someone must have taught them the safe cross code therein afterwards.

There'd be a lot of juvenile wild life out there at the moment having to find new territory for them selves and the what not.

the N59 road is in need to get a complete over haul but the people for the wildlife and shrubs and bushes says NO cos they want to conserve the area for the lovely scenery that the tourists can foto and have their 161 reg cars parked in the middle of the road:(
