    Hi all

I need to attach a length of 4x2x3m to my home, which is of timberframe construction. The 4x2 will support a large load. What is the best way of joining? What would be the spacing between screws/ anchors?

    Thanks in advance for help

    Inside or outside?
    vertical or horizontal?
whats the makeup of the wall?

Sorry, its external, horizontal. Make up of wall is an issue, not really sure - maintenance free render, possibly over a block leaf. It's a timber frame built in 2006 if that helps.

You need to seek the advice of a structural engineer.

Also have a read of Section 1.5 of the forum charter. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055036302 Structural advice is not permitted.
