    I thought you were excellent. Articulate, reasoned and never came close to losing your cool, despite having to deal with the sensationalist drivel that was being fired in your direction like:

    "pucking the head off someone... on the GROUND" :rolleyes:

    Good job countering all of that so calmly and professionally.

    I heard this actually and never realised there was a thread about it.

    The guy on the "against" side seemed to do nothing but create strawman arguments and laugh whenever you began defending MMA. Unfortunately I think a lot of the general public think in the exact same way he does, and are very unwilling to give the sport a chance, perfectly happy to criticise the sport and call for a ban when they know next to nothing about MMA.

    Him trying to paint Charlie Ward as a murderer was disgusting, along with his comments on the aim of the sport being to "severely disable the opponent", he obviously had no interest in reasonable discussion. I have no idea how you stayed so calm..
