I'll be selling an 01 Megane, 1.4l petrol coupe before the end of the year. Its had the timing belt and water pump done and will have 4 good tyres on it when its being sold. I'm also planning of getting it NCT'd as early as I can to sell it with the maximum amount of test. It is running well and I would keep it until it dies, but unfortunately I'm outgrowing it and need something larger. The two doors of the coupe frustrate me.

Wear wise it has 95K miles on the clock and is in good condition internally. Some wear on the gearstick but thats about it. Little niggles is that the A/C no longer works, equipment wise the rest is ok (elec windows and elec sun roof). Exterior has some dings, but is in reasonable shape.

I'd be hoping to get €500 minimum, is that dreaming, a fair price or could I get a little more?

Given the scare insurances gave lately about motors being more than 10-15 years old, and people willingly departing tens of thousands of euros for a car that would save 200 on tax (I still can't see the logic in that, but that's how it is...), your description and the fact that A/C is not working, I'd say it's a fair price.

If you want it gone quick though, you might have to be prepared to let it go for less.

If it was me and I wasn't in a hurry, I'd price it @ 950 first, see what interest you get over a week or two and then decide.
