So here's my query

I remember watching a show on network2, very early 90's. It was on one summer, I think only a single season (or perhaps a mini series).

There was a group of friends living on a small town, one of the kids was deaf. They were being chased for some reason by bad guys in suits, and I think they had the ability to go to an alternative universe.

That's it, apart from remembering that I really liked it.

So, anybody able to make a suggestion based on my less than vague memories
