District Court Proceedings?

If I understand the situation correctly, a District Court hearing, in proceedings based on contract matters, can be heard and decided in the DC area where the contract was made.

Regarding verbal contracts, typically a telecommunications contract for example, concluded over the telephone - is the contract deemed to have been concluded at the business address of the telecommunications provider or the home of the subscriber?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

The proceedings can be decided in the DC area where it is alleged the contract was made. A contract is made in the place where it is accepted. If a contract is accepted by phone it will the the place where the phone was at the time of acceptance.

I'm sorry for pointing out the obvious - purely to aid my own understanding - but two phones, usually in two different locations are required to make a contract, so who's phone decides?

Where the contract is accepted. Only one person can accept so it is that person's phone.

I see! Thank you sorry that is so obvious now. My only excuse is pulling an all nighter.
