nasturtiums under attack!

hi folks.... i had a great array of nasturtiums in the garden, which i grew from seed and I was fairly proud of. I've returned from a holiday away to find them under severe attack from something. Its small, black stuff.... possibly eggs or lavae. Any idea what it is? And suggestions for saving my nasturtiums?
They have lost a lot of flowers, and some are yellowing and wilting.... possibly beyond recovery. I'd rather not spray them, as they are amongst a lot of other plants (none of which are being attacked).
    Thanks.

I dont think there's a way of getting rid if aphids on nasturtium, I pulled all mine out few weeks ago as they were beyond saving and looked awfully bad..but there might be new plants growing under the mother plants - which might get to bloom later in the autumn
I didn't want to spray as it would kill bees and bumblebees..

Rub them away manually /squish them, then soap on the stems.
Ladybirds really like eating them, but there's so many, you'd need an army of them.
