    Hi All,

I'm looking for a second hand lightweight starter bike for almost 5 year old, who will be transitioning from balance bike. A lot of ones he tried out are too heavy for him to move the pedals which is disappointing transitioning from balance bike.

Just posting here in last ditch effort to find second hand one from someone on here who might be upgrading etc.

Looking for 16" specialized islabike (cnoc 16" or small beinn), cuda, frog, ridgeback mx16", specialized hotrock, easy rider belter or comparable alternative.

Based near Dublin but willing to travel or pay courier.

I was in the same boat for my 5 year old girl and couldn't find one. Ended up getting a new 16" team sky frog bike - she loves it.

If you can't find something more suitable, I have a red Beinn 20 small I've been meaning to shift.

It would probably be too big though - check the height charts.

    Based in north Wicklow.

Thanks for responses. I ended up purchasing a new cnoc16 from Islabikes. Transitioned from balance bike to cycling in no time, delighted with it.
@boomdocker thank you for the link. I just missed out before new purchase!
@Lumen Thank you but height was too short for Beinn 20.
@Whatwicklow heard good things about the frog bikes too. Happy cycling!

Hey, I know this is a long shot but I’m looking for a cnoc 16 and finding it hard to get one! Any chance you have one coming up for sale any time soon?
