    Hi guys

Looking at flights to Sydney and have my eye on flights through Kuala Lumpur with Malaysian Airlines.

The transfer time at KL airport is 1hr 15min.. as it's the same airline it shouldn't be an issue should it?

    See attached screenshot.

All on the one ticket you should be fine. Generally speaking they normally land a little early too so you should be ok. Check the gates they usually operate from to see how far the walk is, Kuala Lumpur can be a bit of a pain because you have to through a quick security check before the gates. Just go straight to the next gate.

If you are all on one ticket its normally fine. Its a grand airport. Malaysian are grand to travel with too.

    Thanks all.

I spotted another ticket for the same price, with a longer transfer time of 6 hours.

Would this be a better option so as not to worry/be in a hurry etc.?

According to Flight Track MH3 is nearly always late landing. It's 45 minutes late 41% of the time so you could be unlucky. If you did miss the connection they'd put you on the next flight but you might want to give yourself more leeway.

If both flights depart from the satellite terminal, which I think almost all their long distance flights do, then it would only take you ten minutes to get from one flight to the other.

I don't know if you've booked your ticket or not, however I'd go with the short connection. KLIA airport is easy and quick to transfer through and there's not a lot to do to kill 6hrs there other than sleep. As another poster mentioned if your flight is significantly delayed and you miss the connection if it's all on one ticket you'll be booked on the next available flight.

Go with the short transfer, it's a great airport.
