Planning permission you say? That's an usual development for opening a pub......;-)

Odd that they don't use the old premises, both, if the old place ever reopened, could hardly compete. Then again it wouldn't have the baggage associated with it that the other place did.

The old premises is still for sale is it not?

The documents don't seem to be uploaded to the site yet but I'd imagine they'll be there in the next week or so.

True, but that baggage would come along fairly rapid, combined with the pool/snooker/casino crowd from the floor above. I can see it now.......

Interesting that one of the observations is from someone who says that they're the owner of the site and the applicants don't have their permission to submit the application.

The other objection relating to noise from the beer garden seems reasonable.

    Where can you see those?

Further information requested by Fingal including proof of ownership and the biggie in my opinion, revising the plans to omit the smoking area.

I was chatting to a publican from castleknock and he told me paidi ogs is opening again in some shape or form. Drove past last week and the front had been painted up so here is hoping. It was a grand spot for a couple of pints

The colour they've painted Paidi Og's is vile.

No response was submitted to the request for further information so the application is now deemed as withdrawn.

Only noticed this morning but that paint job seems to be on wooden hoarding erected over the brick facade.

I was recently told the casino place in the village is mostly operating as a late pub. A lot of the younger crew are going to the Casino for late drinks. Pay a tenner to go in and get 3 bottles of beer. Drink until 5 in the morning and no pressure to gamble. Customers seem to be happy with it.
