    Greetings all

Something a bit different that I thought I'd share. I've recently been given a quartz Jaeger to take care of by someone in my extended family. He's had it for years and has worn it daily, as evidenced by the scratches and general condition. Still keeps good time though!
I've been able to find practically nothing online about "Jaeger", only Jaeger-LeCoultre. Given the gent who owns it, I know for sure it's not a fake. So, does anyone on here have any knowledge of this brand, if it's related to JLC (font would suggest it is), or if it has any historical significance at all?

According to Wiki (which is not always right) there may be some connection to the Instruments division though yours is obviously a watch.

The only way to be sure is to post on the vintage JLC forum run by Zaf Basha. A trawl through there might also come up with the right answer.

I've had a little look through the forum archive; haven't found your model yet but found this by Zaf:
[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica][FONT=Verdana,Arial,Helvetica]Jaeger was used in the French market for a long time. If you post a photo, I can have more of an opinion. Tnanks, Zaf

Longines used to do a similar crown and case in the late 1970's to early 1980's. Do a google search images 'longines 994.1' Not saying there is a connection, maybe they had the same supplier?
Can you take the back off and post a pic?
