Dublin Bus drivers are contemplating not collecting fares as industrial relations measure. Apparently this has been done before, here and abroad.

I was just thinking of an equivalent situation where a cashier started giving out goods for free in a shop. Which would be borderline theft on their part I think?

Are the bus drivers in the same territory?

It has happened in the past in Dublin Bus and according to drivers in the C&T forum, they've been told the anyone taking a bus out with the intention of not seeking fares will be treated as of yet had stolen from the company.
