Prices approx. depending on how you pay and whether you use the UK or EU site.

A couple of euro cheaper on the uk site, even with the conversion charge.

    eg
    4TB €91.24 uk / €94.99 eu

The 5tb came to 103.41 if using visa debit @ 1.75% conversion fee.

If you're paying by paypal make sure to change how you will be charged, ie get billed in the sellers currency.

Here's where to go to change:
Profile > Payments > Preapproved Payments > Set Available Funding Sources > Conversion Options

While basket will only give estimate for shipping to UK, selecting Ireland at check out also gives free postage.

What's to stop me from ripping that drive out of that enclosure and making it a nice big 5TB internal drive on the PC?

    Nice one either way! Thanks!

Some of the Western Digital portable drives have no sata connector on the drive inside just a USB connection so they wouldn't work. Not sure if it's these bigger drives are the same.

    Thanks.

That doesn't look like a portable drive but God knows what's inside.
I'll fill the bugger in any case!

How come they only offer 6 months warranty? Either they are 100% or they are not?

I was looking for 4tb external which is €135 on Amazon but €95 here, but for the extra €40 I get 18 months extra warranty?

That's exactly what I intend to do with it!

Recertified drives "may consist of customer return units and may be repaired" - new two year warranty drives are not.
