    Hi
I disconnected my doorbell as it was waking up my newborn the whole time. We want to make it work again but I never took photos of the wires before I dI'd it! Can anyone tell me what I need to do please?!
    Thanks

Its a low voltage system, so you could try touching the wires together to see which two make the chime. These two should go into the button. If there is a slot for the third wire, pop it in there, I think its for the transformer. If you could take a picture of the back of the button too, it would be helpful

the photos are the box on the wall cletus, not behind the button in case i'm getting this mixed up?! since you say its low voltage, i don't have to turn off the power so when rewiring it??

You shouldn't need to turn off the power. Take a picture of the back of the button, where the wires connect, and post it up

OK, sorry for my stupidity, the first pictures are the chime box on the wall inside the house. I had assumed you disconnected from the button outside.

First question, do you have two buttons, one front door and one back door? Or just the one.

Next, the original pictures are a little fuzzy, so it's hard to make out, but the four terminals should be marked 0, 1, 2, 3. Are there wires running from any of the terminals to the transformer (they would probably exit behind the box) or did you have batteries in there?

Lastly, if you could take a clearer picture of the terminals and post it up

Are these photos what you're looking for cletus??

My guess is that there were no batteries, as you might have just removed those rather than disconnected wires. Why did you take them all out? One wire would have done the job :D

Ok, I think the white wires go to terminal 0 and the blue wires go to terminals 1&2. If that doesn't ring your bell, try both blue wires in T1.

With such low voltage, you'll be grand.

Disclaimer: i'm not an electrician. I've just installed a couple of door bells (well bell monitors actually) and dabbled in some DIY electricals with a only a few hundred non fatal shocks :pac:
