I contacted the Amazon chat to return a item.
they gave me the UK return address and the labels.
I requested the usual Irish return address.
but the agent said there is none and insisted on UK address only.
He did confirm that any postage will be refunded to my card.
should i try again and contact other agent? or pay the UK postage now.

Irish returns were going to Johnston Logistics in Rathcoole up until very recently, unless that's changed.

Get onto Amazon again, maybe just an unhelpful agent.

Alternatively, if you've a Parcel Motel account you can use them for UK returns :-

I returned some shoes about 2 weeks ago, also got a UK address in Swansea, had to pay it myself and get reimbursed too :(.

Call back and insist they send you a prepaid mailing label. If you are returning something because it is defective or otherwise unsatisfactory, you should not be required to pay for postage.

I did that and they flat out refused. They said pay it myself then reimbursement was the only option. I actually spoke to them on 4 different occasions. I even said I didn't have the money to do it; and they offered to extend the returns period and did the refund immediately.

I returned an item this week to their Dublin depot, maybe it depends on the type of item:

    Cycleon
    Johnston-Blackchurch Business Park
    Rathcoole
    Co. Dublin

    This has changed,

Now do a Royal Mail return from the Amazon website

Then do a Royal Mail return from the Parcel Motel website.
