Very interesting 2yo 7f Listed race at Tipperary (17.55) this evening:

Pity there are only 7 runners, would have been interesting e/w with 8 or more. Still, a couple of Galway maiden winners for big yards (Capri, Right Honourable) and a couple of decent prospects from smaller operations. No plans to have a bet at the moment but will be watching with interest. Capri has been well-backed this morning (11/8 to 11/10) but seems very short to me, based on the opposition.

BTW, don't forget Family Day at The Curragh on Sunday. Weather is set fair, free entry for families and lots of activities for children. Should be a good day out and well worth supporting.

5:10 - Storm Lightning at 13/2. Ran yesterday and sprung a major shock winning a class 5 at 16/1. Runs today over C+D in a class 6 but with a penalty. Yesterday could have been a fluke, but if it wasn't then surely this can romp home again today?

Well, the lads got it right again - 11/8 in to 8/11 and wins well!

Capri looks a serious horse, was also very impressed with the run of Boyfriend Brian in second. Two nice prospects.
