Milan Bergamo 737-400 Crashed on Landing

    Just got a tweet from Ryanair to say that flights into Milan Bergamo are cancelled due to airport being closed. It appears an ASL Airlines 737 operating on behalf of DHL has crashed on landing

    I now know why Radio Nova were advising people traveling to Bergamo to check with their airline regarding delays.

    Jeez. Hope the crew and any jump seat pax were all ok. Looks like a pretty hairy end although the airframe looks pretty intact which would lead you to be hopeful that any injuries would be minor enough.

    The storms in Milan this morning were incredible, caused lots of ground delays, couldn't refuel etc and made for choppy flying .
    Extremely heavy rain and thunder not surprised this happened, could have been a lot worse too
