low pressure reading at pressure vessel

I have a private well with submersible pump. I find the water pressure ay the directly fed kitchen tap quite low. Checked the reading on the meter at the pressure switch beside the pressure vessel and it would appear the low pressure at which pump comes on is at/slightly below 20psi while the cut off pressure is around 35psi.

This seems low as I thought I read somewhere that the standard cut in/cut off pressures are 30/50psi or 40/60psi. Should I adjust the pressure settings to one of the above and would that have any effect on the pump? Presumably increasing the pressure even to the lower setting would result in a significant improvement to water pressure at tap. Note the washing machine and dishwasher are also fed from this supply.
