Replacing an alternator

hi all, the alternator has just died in the OHs trajet, i call it the tragedy, she is thinking of changing it anyway but i was wondering how much to get fixed.....maybe its worth it , what are rough costs? any ideas of time and effort if i pick one up from a breakers?

prob better off getting yours repaired or get a recon one

It's usually just 2 to 3 bolts to get the alternator off. It shouldn't take too long if
it's reasonably accessible.

And it's usually the voltage rectifier that goes. If between year 2000-2002 this one should fit
