Saw a pair of these the other day. Would they be a nice present for my other half?

Jeans are very personal, I wouldn't like a pair of jeans as a gift unless I helped to pick them out and try them on.

I have two pairs of freddys and love them but their sizing is all over the place. It would be very tricky to get the right pair without trying them on. Depending on what part of the country your in, I would get a voucher for a freddy jeans stockists. If your in Dublin than a voucher for coco boutique on claredon street would be a great present. They have a wide range of Freddys jeans.

Does your other half wear skinny jeans normally? I've never worn them but other people I've seen wear them, they seem to be super skinny jeans and a bit too fitted for my tastes.
I would suggest bringing her to a store that stocks them, letting her try them on for herself and choose the style that she wants.

It's doesn't really matter how top rate they are, if the don't fit they're useless to her. I really think it's a bad idea to buy a pair of jeans for a grown women as a surprise.
If you can easily return them then maybe it won't be so bad bit it sounds like this is more a gift for you rather than her.

I have grey and dark blue skinny jeans, both in Medium. I am 6' and a 36' leg so length is very important to me. Both fit very well. However, the leather ones I couldn't even get passed my knees in the Medium. I had to be yanked out of them in the changiong room :o

I think Fran & Jane and Cari's Closet in Cork both stock Freddys.

Did you not try on a bigger pair of leather pants?

I tried the large but im a size 10/12 and they were very baggy at the waist and then very tight at the calves. They also were far too short for me. The regular denim jeans fit me well though. They are quite elasticated unlike the leather pants.
