Have a caged type weighing scales (put the lamb in, pull down the handle and you get weight) I got a new clock for it today but when I weigh a lamb I get its weight + the cage so my question is how to I - the weight of the cage i tried to turn it back to 0 when it was just the cage but it didnt work! Anyone any suggestions? (IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY)

You're right in what you're doing. - when the cage is empty, and the handle is down (so you are weighing the cage) the clock should read 0...

Try adjusting it when the handle is up.
If it still won't zero send it back
