Hi there, just wondering has anyone on here used one before? Are they as effective as dipping? And how much per ewe if i am supplying dip? I have sheep on an outfarm and will take too much time drawing them home to be dipped in our own dipper

Its a lot less labour intensive than ewe going into dipping tank but personally I think tight wooled ewes like Suffolk x absorb the dip better from the full immersion in dipping tank,by that I mean let them into tank, swim forward, turn them when they think they are getting out.push their whole body and head under water, turn them again and let them swim back and walk/struggle up the steps.

I never dip. Sprayed them with ectofly today. Am I missing a trick? Small flock though.

Got it done here the last two years....cost 1 euro per ewe including dip.

saves some hardship compared to dipping

It wont cover against scab though as the scab mite lives in the ear and there is no way of submersing the head like when your dipping

Got dom black from roscommon this morning, started at half 8, finished at ten, 720 ewes through the electrodip, definitely get him again, great service!
