Upgrading from Galaxy S5

    Hi Guys,

Looking for a bit of advice. So at the moment I have a Galaxy S5 on a Meteor Smart 4G plan with only 1GB of data and 400 minutes and 400 texts. Only realised last week that I'm eligible for an upgrade but to be honest I haven't been following the phone market at all since I got the S5 so I've been trying to catch up in the last few days.

I'm paying 30 euro a month at the minute for my plan but I wouldn't mind paying 35 or 40 for a new deal as long as I get heaps of data as I find myself buying add ons every month with Meteor anyway. I'm a pretty heavy user.

Does anyone have any advice on phones that would be a big step from the S5 that are currently out? I was looking at the One Plus 3, S7 and P9 among a few others but not sure if they're worth the upgrade. I would love a bigger screen and see that the Note7 was announced today and that's something I think I would like. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or should I hold off for a few months and hope for another flagship to be released by someone? Thanks!

The p9 is a great phone, with the only possible "downfall" being the software. Personally, I dont mind it. Its a refreshing change to whats on the market already. I wouldn't reccomend any sony handset. You can more likely get better value for your money.

If audio is big for you, the HTC 10 would be worth a look.
To be honest, in my opinion, the s7 or s7 edge is the best all rounded smartphone.

If you're looking at off contract options, the axon 7 and oneplus 3 are relatively cheap flagship devices. But if you could afford an extra few quid, I would recommend looking at the s6 on amazon warehouse deals.

I was pretty turned off by the S6 because I've gotten so used to the waterproofness of the S5. I do quite a lot of watersports and have gotten this wet loads of times and it's still perfect so water and weather sealing would be a big plus if I could get it.

In that case the s7/s7 edge/ s7 active would be the way to go.

Looking for something with a bigger screen than the S7. Something bigger than 5.5.
