    I saw the model last year and thought it was an interesting thought experiment but the Chinese have actually managed to build a working model!
    Unlikely to work with our curved streets.... but interesting how they used the useless space above the roads...

    Then it just acts like normal and waits behind it, anything taller than a standard car on the road removes it's advantage somewhat. No mystery.

    Turning movements must be fun, they probably have a separate signalling system. I wonder for the cost, would an elevated railway/busway provide more capacity for your Yuan. Still though a nice innovation.
