BBC have the line up for Sat.
The Olympics will be great this time round, with the internet you'll get tonnes more coverage then the old days.

If anybody has a copy of the schedule for the Irish boxers that would be great .................... please

I think the draw is being made on Thursday so won't know any exact schedules until then. I see they have signed up Kelly Harrington as an analyst on RTE which is a brave move, always good to see new blood being given a chance.

She'll be as good as Michael Carruth, good to get a boxer's perspective on things.

Yes, especially the bit about him being ostracised. Politics in sport eh?

But going back to awarding rounds to boxers just made it easier to cheat.

Dont like this schedule at all. Boxing finals are all over the palace with one or tow an evening for 5 nights. I prefered the finals all on the last couple of days. Not sure what the reasoning is.

Agreed. Two days of all finals was the way they used to do it.

Is the BBC showing all the boxing on TV or do you have to watch some of it online?

    Nail on the head.

Which is why I always preferred computer scoring.

The computer scoring had the advantage of at least knowing how things stood throughout the course of a fight, but I'm not sure it could be said to any less flawed that the 10 points must system. Can't imagine there could be any more whining this time around that there was in London or in Beijing before that where I think there was a record number of protests. Corrupt officials will find a way to cheat either way.

Well yes, the head movements the whistleblower alleged shows how they would have done it.

But Round scoring is more blatant

Joe Cordina wins his preliminary round fight there. Thought he was a bit lucky myself, one judge gave him all 3 rounds where I'd have given him one myself, maybe 2 at a push but no more than that.

Not in the same half of the draw anyway, unless you're really really THAT optimistic ;)
