Payments between job offer and start date

    Hi there,

Has anyone any experience of signing off JSA payments after receiving a job offer but still collecting payments before actually starting?

For example, you get offered a job but the start date could be in a month or more's time. Technically you're no longer looking or available for work so shouldn't be eligible for payments but it would seem odd to be penalised for getting job by not receiving payments between the offer and start date.

Has anyone signed off and still collecting payments while waiting to start?

    Thanks a mil.

If you sign off you stop getting payments,if you continue to look for work ect you can sign off the day before you start your new job.

    Your choice

In this situation you sign off the day before you start work. You were obviously available and looking for work and have now secured employment but with a start date in the forseeable future. If the job wasnt starting for 3-4 months you would be expected to look for work in the meantime.
