They're full time 4wd so a bit sore on fuel. Choices are a 2.0 petrol or a 2.2 diesel (that's taxed as 2.3 and not exactly trouble free)

Do you see yourself needing 4wd? I'm a big fan of the older generation 1.8 2wd model.

    It's a 1.9 diesel model.

    There isn't a 1.9 diesel model

Italy advertised as a 1.9 anyway. I've never driven one or know nothing about them ... that's why I'm asking

    This the one?

Garage wouldn't have the best feedback on this forum but that's not to say the car is bad. BTW they are incorrect, it's not 1.9, it's 2.3 which is €994 to tax per year.

The motor tax site shows its in the 2201 - 2300 cc tax band.

Any of the free info from the reg check sites will show you too.

    Heres cartells info

    Registration 06LH6195
    Make TOYOTA
    Model RAV 4
    Description D-4D XTR 5DR
    Engine Capacity 2231

Plus, as colm says (i'll trust his word on it) , there isnt a 1.9

Not full time, they're primarily FWD and transfer power to the rear wheels when they detect slip.

Re. fuel consumption, our automatic one averages 29mpg.
