Lost key no spare

I have a 98 Mazda 323. I've lost my only key. The doors weren't locked when I lost it . I'm not 100% sure if the car has an immobiliser. Do I simply just get some sort of code of a dealership or does the car key need to be programmed?

generally just bring the log book to your mazda dealer and they can order a spare.
