Fertilizer stained path and bricks

I put some lawn fertilizer and weed killer down during the week and unfortunately while spreading it some went on the concrete paths and also on a patio/brick area and this have left brown/rust stains on these areas. Lesson learnt....sweep down all surfaces the next time!! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to remove these - I have tried just using a wire brush and scrubbing and also a soapy solution and also store bought patio cleaner but I have had no joy as of yet. Any suggestions appreciated!!

Vitamin c tablets dissolved in water should remove rust like stains.

Haven't done this but heard from a few sources that it works a treat.
