Service with dealer or local garage

My Peugeot 5008 is due its first service and am caught between main dealer and local garage(whom I did get my older car serviced with and thought them good).

Only reason not go with local garage is

1. Would he have up-to date software for car?
2. Would that void my warranty? However I am led to believe that if he uses genuine Peugeot parts this would cover my warranty-would this be correct?

thought for peace of mind dealer is probably best.

check the terms of the 5 year warranty as the last 2/3 years may be dependant on main dealer services or inspections, if it's on pcp, make sure you're not going to be penalised.

There is no real requirement to use a main dealer, but it puts you in a better position if there's an issue that's not 100% a black-and-White warranty claim.
