Advice About Fundraising

    Hi all,

My wife has just been told that she requires life saving neurosurgery in the US. We urgently need to raise money in order to be able to fund the medical expenses.

I'm just wondering if anyone can provide me with any advice in relation to the legal process of going about this? Do we need to set-up a charity? Are there tax implications?

Perhaps someone has dealt with a solicitor and/or accountant familiar with this sort of process before? We're in the Dublin area.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Regards,

    Jim
