Bank looking for lease agreement

    Hi lads quick question my bank are looking for a lease agreement off me for my mortgage application,im renting a house but i dont have a lease(rent is paid in cash) and the landlord isnt keen on making anything official,i may be able to convince him to sign a lease agreement i drafted up myself,im wondering would the bank accept this and everybody would be happy:)

    To prove I'm paying rent apparently I was surprised as well,it's BOI and to be honest they are a nightmare to deal with

    Even with a lease, you'll be lucky to convince them that you're actually paying if it's a cash transation.

    Ah come on now. You're paying rent in cash and you're complaining that the bank are hard to deal with? Do you think they should just believe you without proof?
