Planning on dropping sky but the mother likes to record a few bits when at work.

So I'm pricing a box that can receive saorview and FTA but can also record.

Is it possible get boxes that have both on the same EPG and series link?

If you can do without 'series link' you can easily find a box to suit.

The autotimer function on any Linux box will give you the equivalent of series linking and more. You can also do things like keyword recording.

Lads I've settled on one of these two from freetv.ie, cant post links yet.

Ferguson™ Ariva 153 Combo Receiver or the Amiko™ Mini Combo SE

From what I see they both do the Saorview and FTA channels and allow live pausing, rewinding and recording with an added HD correct?
