Getting a government issued letter sent to my house.

I am trying to apply for a Bank of ireland personal account from abroad. They need 2 documents proving my address in Ireland. I only have a mobile phone bill being posted to my Irish address. So I need another letter proving my address.

I rang BOI and they told me that a government issued letter would suffice as my second document proving my address.

What document should I get sent out to me from the government. Please note that I am abroad and the letter will have to be applied for online? Maybe a tax cert or PRSI number?

    Thanks

You could request a p21 balancing statement from revenue. I think it can be done online or by phone.

Does it have to be Bank of Ireland? We opened a joint non-resident account with AIB before we moved over here, though ironically we had to apply for this non-resident account in person, at the branch! We didn't need an Irish address or ID though, and provided our UK passports and driving licences, had the account switched over to a normal resident account once we had a few official documents with our new address on.

if OP hasn't worked in Ireland or had an income here for a while the P 21 might not be relevant. If you are in an EU country ow about a query to the DSP as to whether your Social Insurance contributions abroad count towards benefits here or just a query looking for your PPSN record?

Op normally companies will not accept mobile phone bills as proof of address do you may still need 2 documents
