Have multi-switch feeding through diplexers to a number of rooms in different rooms.
Have Amiko Alien 2 ( no RF2) connected via long HDMI to main TV.
Ran coax to TV and have green light working in magic eye.
Have IR emitter in front of Amiko but won't change channels.
Is there something I am not doing ?

Sometimes the IR transmitter at the receiver end can be very particular about positioning with regard to the IR receiver on the box - I had the same woes last year and it was all down to that - it takes some adjustment to get it just right.

excollier makes a good point. I've found that a bright torch can help locate exactly where the IR receiver is on certain boxes.

Also, I once had a problem with a cordless land line phone somehow interfering with the remote control near the 'magic eye' end. When I put the phone back in its charging base, the remote control worked ok.

Even at the moment, I'm living with a situation where a magic eye working through a tri link, won't turn on a box, from stand-by, but once the box is turned on in the normal way, the magic eye will function ok, including turning the box off again. I can't explain it.
