    Hi,
My current photography website is http://www.photoblog.ie
I shoot mainly abstract and a little bit of other stuff.
    What are the thoughts on-
    Mainlyabstractphotos.com
    Mostlyabstractphotos.com

Too long? Or easy to remember and sums up what I shoot?

I don't think Patrick Dinneen.com would work, most people spell Dinneen with one n.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pa

Dot coms are so cheap these days that you could get them and forward to your photo blog site.

Set up Google analytics and see what the results are like.

Good idea. Can they mask my site (eg keep the mostlyabstractphotos.com in the url) or would it change to photoblog.ie?

I thought I read that search engines/Google doesn't like sites that do this and it effects ranking- correct?
    Thanks again.

It would just be a redirect with the photoblog being shown at the end.
It would show you where traffic was coming from.
Not sure how it effects ranking. Google change the rules more often than I change my socks:)

Of the two I prefer "mainlyabstractphotos"

I'm thinking shorter now and maybe
    Abstractabstract.com
    Mainlyabstract.com
    Mostlyabstract.com

I know the word photo isn't in it though
Photosabstract. Com is free but I don't thibk that's memorable, people would just remember abstract photos Com instead.

    Any thoughts?
    Pa.

Spamming keywords is a great idea to get this website off the ground!

    Sarcasm?

You tell me, I think it's a great method but according to the 2015 IDSPHF survey 1 in every 12 websites get penalized; which is pretty good. I think the domain name is a bit too long but it depends on your keywords and of course registering it with a proper domain proxy as opposed to a manual spamming/making it android compatible like the new YEJMD website would of course be preferable: making it accessible to the standard qwerty keyboard if you're targeting english speaking nations.

In the event that the domain name will contain keywords that correspond to the subject matter of the site, this can be considered already a good achievement for promotion.Well, it is desirable that the domain name is not too long.

Repetition of words is a killer for Google rankings, just an fyi to the op.

Repetition of words, multiple font sizes, colours etc ruin your ranking.
